Didactic sequence - Lunar-eclipse (German version)
This fulldome animation demonstrates the underlying celestial mechanism of a lunar eclipse. Due to a close alignment of Sun, Moon and Earth the moon enters the earth shadow causing it to appear in a dark reddish tone.
