This video is an artist's impression of the total solar eclipse at ESO's La Silla Observatory on 2 July 2019. During this eclipse, the Sun will be low in the sky, so the shadow will form a u-shape in the sky.
ESO will open the doors of the La Silla Observatory for this very rare event.
