Zooming in on the star formation region Messier 17
This zoom video sequence takes us from a broad vista of the bright central parts of the Milky Way right into a close-up view of the bright star formation region Messier 17. The final detailed view is from the MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at ESO’s La Silla Observatory in Chile.
