Big and small
In this equirectangular panorama one of the four small auxiliary telescopes stands alongside its larger counterpart, one of the four unit telescopes of the ESO Very Large Telescope (VLT) in Chile. They are separated by the arc of the Milky Way, under which the faint blotches of our neighbouring dwarf galaxies— the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds — are just visible.
