Hexagonal plaque sealing ELT time capsule
This design was printed on a hexagonal piece of Zerodur glass ceramic that was used to seal the time capsule on the occasion of the first stone ceremony for ESO's Extremely Large Telescope on 26 May 2017. It is a one fifth-scale model of one of the telescopes primary mirror segments.
