The Toby Jug Nebula as seen by the VLT and the VLTI
This side-by-side view shows the Toby Jug Nebula. The wide-field view on the left was captured by ESO’s Very Large Telescope (VLT), while the image on the left shows the very central region of the nebula as imaged by the Very Large Telescope Interferometer (VLTI). The VLTI image is 21 000 times more zoomed in than the original VLT image.
