Star formation in the constellation of Corona Australis

This chart shows the location of a rich star-forming region within the constellation of Corona Australis (The Southern Crown). This map shows most of the stars visible to the unaided eye under good conditions and the star-forming region NGC 6729, and its surroundings, are marked as a red circle. Although most of this stellar nursery is hidden by dust, the brighter reflection nebulae are faintly visible in moderate-sized telescopes.
