The ALMA prototype antennas

The two ALMA Prototype Antennas at the ATF site in Socorro, New Mexico. The 2 antennas have been linked together as an integrated system to observe Saturn on 2 March, paving the way for the future full operation of ALMA. Image taken in July 2004.
