Dr. Catherine Cesarsky attends the unveiling ceremony of her portrait, at ESO Headquarters in Garching, on 12 April 2011. Dr. Cesarsky was the sixth ESO Director General, serving from 1999 to 2007. The portraits of the past ESO Directors General are displayed in a gallery at ESO Headquarters.
