A lonely Auxiliary Telescope
Almost lost stands this Auxiliary Telescope in the Atacama Desert, atop the Paranal Mountain. However, it is not alone at all. Three additional telescopes of the same size are close by and they all can work together to create the Very Large Telescope Interferometer (VLTI).
