Angela Cortes working on MAICAL

Angela Cortes is seen here working on the light source module of MAICAL, the calibration module of the Phasing and Diagnostic Station of ESO's Extremely Large Telescope (ELT). While the Phasing and Diagnostic Station will be used to test and monitor the performance of some of the ELT's functions, this station also needs testing itself. This is the role of MAICAL: to ensure that all of the sensors installed in the Phasing and Diagnostic Station (and in the future ELT), are working perfectly.
