Building ALMA

At the operations support facility, 2900 metres above sea level, work is being done to one of the antennae of the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). From here this antenna will be taken to the Chajnantor Plateau at an altitude of 5000 metres.
