Airglow above the ESO 3.6-metre telescope
Captured in January 2015, airglow is seen to produce reddish hues that fill the sky above the ESO 3.6-metre telescope, based at La Silla Observatory in northern Chile. The equirectangular panorama view captures the Milky Way and the glow of distant settlements towards the horizon.
