House of the Doridis Telescope

The Doridis telescope is housed in the Visitor Center of the National Observatory of Athens in Thissio, Greece. This historical telescope is a refractor with a lens of 40 centimetres in diameter and has a length of 5 metres; it is housed in a building made of marble from the greek island of Aegina and its beautiful wooden dome is 8 metres in diameter.
