Moonrise over the VLT

This image shows the silhouette of the Very Large Telescope (VLT) sitting at the top of the plateau on the right. The VLT consists of multiple telescopes located in the Atacama desert of Chile. As the Moon is hanging just above the horizon, it illuminates the sky with a blue tint.
