Time-lapse of building Paranal

This time-lapse shows part of the assembly a 1:150 model of ESO's Paranal Observatory out of LEGO^®. It was designed and constructed by Dutch astronomer Frans Snik and his team of students and helpers — including a few bright young minds. The whole platform model requires over 25 000 individual parts, plus substantial amount of time and patience.
