The ALMA Operations Support Facility
Aerial view of the ALMA Operations Support Facility (OSF), located at 2900 metres altitude, near San Pedro de Atacama, in the II Region of Chile. At the centre of the image is the main OSF building, where most of the scientific and technical operations take place. Behind this are the ALMA partners’ antenna integration sites — from left to the right, the European, the Japanese and the North American site. In the background is the Salar de Atacama.
