Drone image of the ELT dome construction
This drone image from June 2024 shows progress in the construction of ESO's Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) dome, located on Cerro Armazones in the Atacama Desert, Chile. Look closely behind the yellow crane - a man in a high-visibility jacket can be seen, giving a scale of just how enormous the ELT is!
