Poster: ALMA's World at Night

In the tranquil night of the Chajnantor Plateau in Chile's Atacama Desert, the antennas of the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) appear to gaze in awe at the breathtaking display of the Milky Way, gracefully stretching across the southern sky. Below the arc of the Milky Way, in the central part of the sky, one of our cosmic neighbours joins the spectacle. It’s the Large Magellanic Cloud, a dwarf galaxy orbiting the Milky Way at a distance of just 163,000 light-years away.
