Mounted image 020: Milky Way over Paranal
The Milky Way gleams over Paranal, site of ESO’s Very Large Telescope. Two of the 1.8-metre Auxiliary Telescopes with their round covers are visible in the distance, as well as the Very Large Telescope Interferometer laboratory. Looming in the foreground are two of the 8.2‑metre Unit Telescopes.
