Welcoming Woltjer
ESO’s Director General, Prof. Lodewijk Woltjer welcomes the President of the Federal Republic, Dr Karl Carstens, to the ESO Headquarters on the occasion of the inauguration of the HQ Building on 5 May 1981. In the middle is seen Prof. Reimar Lüst, President of the Max Planck Society, and to the right Prof. Jean-François Denisse, President of the ESO Council.
