Final phases of VLT UT1 installation
A 20-cm amateur telescope was installed on the upper side of the centerpiece of the UT1 structure. It was used to perform the first, rough orientation of the telescope, relative to the sky. Telescopes come in different sizes! A view of the guide telescope on the centerpiece of its larger relative, the VLT UT1. (Photo obtained on March 22, 1998).
