Een breder overzicht van de Carinanevel
Deze groothoekfoto toont nog meer sterren van de dichtbevolkte omgeving van de Carinanevel. Dankzij deze opname, gemaakt met VISTA – de grootste infraroodsurveytelescoop ter wereld, zijn we getuige van de dramatische evolutie van deze levendige stellaire metropool, waarin leven en dood hand in hand gaan.
