Lone Auxiliary
A single Auxiliary Telescope (AT) observes the stunning Milky Way above. Four in total, these smaller telescopes at the VLT Paranal Observatory in Chile are movable, and can work every night as an interferometer, allowing astronomers to see details up to 25 times finer than with the individual telescopes.
