Comparison of the main mirrors of the ESO 3.6-metre telescope and the NTT
This sequence shows how the thick mirror of the ESO 3.6-metre telescope (left) compares to the thin (and actively supported) mirror of the NTT (right). The NTT mirror is much lighter.
