Unit Telescope ready to observe
As the Sun sets over Cerro Paranal in Chile's Atacama desert, ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT) begins to observe. Here, one of the Unit Telescopes is open ready to look out into the Universe, next to one of its smaller companions, an Auxiliary Telescope.
