Panning across part of the Large Magellanic Cloud
This pan across a detailed new Wide Field Imager view of part of the Large Magellanic Cloud gives a close look at some of the details. Dozens of clusters are visible, including an unusually young globular cluster, as well as the remains of a brilliant supernova explosion and huge numbers of stars.
