Colder than it looks
Members of ESO's Fulldome Expedition team are wrapped up in preparation for a cold night of photography. The team is obtaining spectacular night-time images for use in planetarium presentations and we see them here on the Chajnantor plateau, home of the ALMA telescope. This is a desert region, and temperatures can plummet at night.
