The night sky over ESO's Paranal Observatory in Chile. Two of the Unit Telescopes of the Very Large Telescope appear on the left. One is using a laser guide star which appears as a beam of light. The four smaller telescopes at the lower-right are the Auxiliary Telescopes used for interferometry.
