The orbits of the planet and stars in the HD 131399 system

This graphic shows the orbit of the planet in the HD 131399 system (red line) and the orbits of the stars (blue lines). The planet orbits the brightest star in the system, HD 131399A.

Edit (19 April 2022): Observations conducted over the past few years have revealed that the object identified as HD 131399Ab is not a planet, but rather a background star.
