Our cosmic home

This panorama image shows the Milky Way, the cosmic home of our Solar System. The darkness and the clear sky of the Atacama desert in Chile allow to see it in greater detail than anywhere else on our planet.

The view of this image is also kind of unconventional, as the horizon can be seen on the right side and not at the bottom.
