La Silla Observatory (labelled)

This image shows four of the telescopes at La Silla Observatory. Although many of the telescopes at La Silla have been decommissioned over the years, all telescopes in this image are still in use. As the night sky begins to reveal stars, the telescope domes are opened to commence long hours of observation.
