The globular star cluster Omega Centauri in the constellation of Centaurus

This chart shows the location of the giant globular cluster Omega Centauri within the constellation of Centaurus (The Centaur). This map shows most of the stars visible to the unaided eye under good conditions, and the cluster itself is marked as a yellow circle with a cross, within a red circle. Through a moderate-sized amateur telescope this object appears as a spectacular ball of faintly glimpsed stars.
