1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 PURPOSE
This manual provides the installation procedure of the VLT Common Software.
This document assumes that you have an overview of the VLT Common Software, (see [5]) a good UNIX knowledge and some experience in installing public domain software. Unless you are the system manager, you may need his help to perform some of the installation steps.
1.2 SCOPE
This document describes the installation of the JAN2006 version of The VLT Common Software. The detailed scope is given is section 1.3.
The installation procedure allows selective installation (section 2).
