First Release of VST Public Survey KiDS Imaging Data
Data products resulting from the first release of the ESO/VST Public Survey KiDS are now available via the dedicated Phase 3 query interface at the ESO Science Archive Facility.
This data release consists of the first 50 “tiles” of KiDS, each observed in all four filters (u,g,r,i), during the first year of regular operations (15 October 2011 to 31 September 2012) and during Early Science Time (13 August to 15 October 2011). A total of 800 files is included in this data release. The release consists of astrometrically and photometrically calibrated mosaiced and coadded images (each 1.0 deg2), weight maps, FLAG mask images and associated single band source lists in the different bands of the survey. The total data volume of this data release is 702 GB.
