This plot

Number of hot and cold pixels, as calculated by the "naco_img_dark" recipe of the NACO pipeline, shown for three daily acquired read modes.

Default pipeline recipe parameters are used:

hot pixel are pixel with a dark current above median + 10 ADU.

cold pixel are pixel with a dark current below median - 6 ADU.

Since 2015 we use: --hot_t = 14 ADU and --cold_t = 10 ADU.
For the daily darks with setup FNS_HS_300, the large scale background pattern has a higher amplitude than the amplitude of the hot and cold pixels. Therefore values of this setup is not scored.

General information

Click on any of the plots to see a close-up version.

The latest date is indicated on top of the plot.

If configured,

  • data points belonging to the latest date are specially marked
  • statistical averages are indicated by a solid line, and thresholds by broken lines
  • outliers are marked by a red asterisk. They are defined as data points outside the threshold lines
  • "aliens" (= data points outside the plot Y limits) are marked by a red arrow ( or )
  • you can download the data for each parameter set if the 'Data downloads' link shows up
