UVES sky emission atlas: 8530-8630A |
The ordinate scale is physical flux in 1E-16 erg/[s A cm**2 arcs**2] and includes the continuum sky emission. The spectrum is plotted in 30 A panels, with begin and end wavelength denoted at the borders. The vertical blue bars mark those lines which have been measured. The red line marks the sky spectrum divided by 10. Red dots mark the line identifications from the Keck atlas (Osterbrock et al. 1996 PASP 108, 277). Crosses mark the positions of identified OH lines (Lidman et al. 2000). All positions have been transformed from vacuum to air using the Edlen formula. NOTE: This spectrum panel has been added after publication of the atlas, in order to close the gap between the
8600L and 8600U settings. The data have been prepared from science data in the 8000U setting, in the same way as
for all other settings.
