The AMBER calibration scheme is rather simple. There are 2 static calibrations : the Bad Pixel Map and the Flat Field Map which are used to calibrate the detector. To calibrate the data taken on sky (astronomical calibrators and science data), the P2VM (Pixel 2 Visibility matrix) is needed. This is observed each time the instrument is moved to another setting or at least each 8 hours.

The products (Transfer Function) from the astronomical calibrators is used by the science data to remove the instrument and atmosphere effect.
