The rms of the master can be seen as the combination
of large-scale structure and noise components. The difference between
the master and the master itself shifted by 10x10 pixels is computed
from which the variance of the 1600x1800 central pixels is determined
(corrected by factor 2). This is the combination of fixed-pattern
noise and photon noise. It is quadratically subtracted from the total
standard deviation. |
