ISAAC data reduction: calibrations burst mode |

This mode is offered since P79 (April 2007). There is no pipeline support for the BURST and FastJitter mode. Darks of the Aladdin detector for BURST and FastJitter mode have a different frame and file format with respect to spectroscopy and imaging mode. In the following table we list the relevant detector keys to classify the types of dark frames:
The detector read out mode DET.MODE.NAME = DoubleCorrLowBias for modes WINDOW, FastJitter and BURST. darks of type NORMAL and WINDOW can be submitted to the isaac dark recipe. These two types of raw frames are supported by the pipeline as the raw frames are two-dimensional FITS images.
Purpose:Dark current to be subtracted from each plane of the window sky flats and window science frames Recipe: the dark recipe does not support processing of darks taken in HIT and BURST mode. Window read out sky flats (= twilight flats taken with the skyflat template) can be distinguished from full detector twilight flats by the header key DET.WIN.TYPE that is 1 in the window read out case. Raw window SKY flats have DET.FRAM.TYPE="INT", meaning they come as a stack of single imaging frames (no data cubes). They can be submitted to the isaac twilight recipe in the same way as full-detector twilight raw frames. A master dark of the same window size can be submitted in addition.
Purpose. The window read mode twilight flats are to Recipe. The isaac twilight flat recipe can be used to reduce window SKY flats. See data reduction of LW-arm twilight flats for details. |
