API Reference

Version: 1.0.0

PyHDRL exposes two public modules for pipeline development:

  • hdrl.core — HDRL images, imagelists, spectra and shared value types.

  • hdrl.func — high-level data-reduction algorithms (overscan, flat, BPM, response, and the other algorithms listed in the High-level algorithms).

Start with HDRL C → PyHDRL if you already know the HDRL C API. Use Errors for the mapping from CPL_ERROR_* codes to hdrl.core exceptions.

The pages below document the Python surface. Method lists are generated from the installed bindings; introductory sections are written for readers.

Note

hdrl.debug exists only to validate type conversions between PyCPL and PyHDRL. It is not part of the pipeline authoring API. See hdrl.debug if you maintain PyHDRL itself.
