As the nearest, easily observable giant elliptical galaxy, NGC 5128
(Cen A) is an important system for extragalactic PN studies. With over
1100 identified PNe and nearly 800 measured velocities, the large number
of PNe accessible to present-day telescopes has made it an ideal galaxy
for PN studies of the distance scale, stellar dynamics, and stellar
populations. I will review what we know about this nearby PN system, and
will discuss it in the context of NGC 5128's stellar halo, total mass,
and formation history.
