Date:
Oct.1, 2002

On the days when two transports are leaving La Serena to La Silla at about the same time,

These transports can be either a bus or a carry-all, depending of the number of passengers.

For SciOp members, the priorities for the 11:00:00 transport are the following, no matter whether that transport is  a bus or a carry all:
  1. Day TIOs (must at all cost be in the 11:00 transport),
  2. Background TIOs,
  3. Astronomers,
  4. Operation Engineers,
  5. Night TIOs.
In case of conflict over the 11:00 transport (e.g. lack of space), priority must be given to staff members whose presence on the mountain is related to day operation, so that they can start to work as soon as possible. This assumes that the second transport will reach La Silla before the night.

This over-rides the "default transport" that is entered in TRAM, which does not reflect the actual assignement of a staff member for the considered shift.
