Yepun's Laser Guide Star under the Milky Way
This fulldome panorama shows all the four Unit Telescopes of the Paranal Observatory, with two Auxiliary Telescopes framing them. Under a stunning Milky Way arching in the sky, Yepun (Unit telescope 4) fires its laser guide star, used to correct in real-time the distortion caused by the turbulence. The phenomenon known as airglow cherishes the panorama with greenish and reddish hues.
