The wonders of the Carina Nebula (fulldome)

This panoramic fulldome video shows a detailed view into the spectacular Carina Nebula. The area shown is that around one of the most massive and most luminous stars known, the Wolf-Rayet star WR 22, as well as the surroundings of the unique star Eta Carinae.

The images shown were obtained by the Wide Field Imager on the MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at ESO’s La Silla Observatory in Chile.
