Blowing the lid off Cerro Armazones
After the groundbreaking back in June 2014, work continues on Cerro Armazones in preparation for construction work on the ELT.
A total of 220 000 cubic metres of rock is to be removed in the process of leveling the peak to make way for the 300 x 150 metre platform of the ELT.
