Spin the planet

Visitors to the ESO Supernova Planetarium & Visitor Centre are seen here playing with one of the many interactive exhibits in The Living Universe exhibition. By spinning the spheres of liquid, this hands-on exhibit shows how the gas planets obtain their structure, such as the striped nature of Jupiter.
