La Silla time-lapse
This time-lapse video taken at ESO's La Silla site on 27 November 2009 shows the stars revolving around the south celestial pole. The ESO 3.6-metre telescope dome appears at the left. The two Magellanic Clouds, small satellite galaxies of the Milky Way, appear as patches of light.
