Tento pestrobarevný snímek zachycující kulovou hvězdokupu označenou NGC 6362 byl pořízen kamerou WFI (Wide Field Imager) umístěnou na teleskopu MPG/ESO o průměru primárního zrcadla 2,2 m. V kombinaci s novým záběrem centrální části této hvězdokupy pořízeným Hubblovým vesmírným teleskopem (NASA/ESA) poskytuje snímek opravdu úžasný pohled na tento nepříliš známý objekt. Kulové hvězdokupy jsou většinou složeny z desítek tisíc velmi starých hvězd, ale mohou obsahovat také hvězdy, které vypadají překvapivě mladé.
