Během testování nového subsystému ZIMPOL pro přístroj SPHERE, který je určen ke hledání extrasolárních planet pomocí dalekohledu ESO/VLT, se astronomům podařilo pořídit působivý detailní záběr dokumentující bouřlivý partnerský vztah symbiotické dvojhvězdy R Aquarii.
